Physics by Discovery Class (www.physicsbydiscovery.com)
Are you looking for some help with high school science? I teach a physics class for high school age homeschool students that engages students in experiments through which they collect data and discover the laws of physics, as well as delving into the concepts, problem-solving, and real-world applications that are typically studied at this level. Laboratory work involves use of high quality lab equipment, including computer data collection and video analysis!
We meet weekly on Thursday mornings, from September to May (except for holiday weeks), at my home in the Beaverton/NW Portland area. Class size is limited to six students to facilitate a high level of interaction, individualized attention, and access to lab equipment. The math prerequisite is Algebra 2.
The upcoming 2019-20 class currently has a few openings. If you might be interested, please contact me at physicsbydiscovery@gmail.com. I'd love to connect with you to explore whether the class would be good fit for your student!
